Our infamous DJ, DJ Veg, has been asked one single question more times than he'd like to recall...WHERE IN THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT NAME?!?!
The answer is actually a very simple one...he grew up in Maryland as a VEGetarian! It's kind of ironic that his very first DJ gig was hosting a Christmas party for the meat-selling mammoth McDonald's; but that didn't stop Veg from following his dream. After performing at countless weddings, bar mitzvahs, middle schools, high schools, and colleges, he graced the city of Austin in 1999. He took a job in one of the biggest entertainment districts in the world, 6th Street in Austin, TX in 1999. After a yearlong stint as a karaoke DJ on 6th, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and became Vegaleeze "The Street Jackass" for Davey D. & The Wake Up Show on Power 92.3 FM. While on the morning show, "The Street Jackass" performed various stunts and acts such as sing karaoke to random passersby on the city streets to performing on top of one of the radio station billboards!! These live performances obviously gained DJ Veg quite a bit of attention, which led to a lucrative offer to DJ at one of the hottest spots in Scottsdale, AZ.
After a stint in Scottsdale, DJ Veg could not resist the familiar calling of Austin; so once again, he made his way back to the wild and crazy 6th Street. He did bring one thing with him, though, that was completely new and fresh to Austin.DJ Veg's Infamous Spoof Videos!! Imagine your favorite music video of the hottest star but one thing is terribly different.the star looks a lot like DJ Veg! No words can describe seeing a grown man in the same exact costume as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc. I'll gladly leave the rest to your imagination; you'll have to come in and see for yourself!!
DJ Veg made the final jump to the world famous Dizzy Rooster in 2004 where he has been hosting "The Biggest House Party on Sixth Street"! What exactly will you see at the house party?? How about a DJ that dresses in countless costumes throughout the night, a DJ that makes each and every bachelorette get up on the bar while he (and the entire crowd) serenades her, and a DJ that refuses to let you go home without having one hell of a good time!
He has gained a reputation as the hottest DJ in the city of Austin with numerous awards and mentions in local papers. He was runner-up as "The Best DJ in Austin 2004" and plans on being #1 in 2005!!
